Meet The Team
Alison Barr
- Captain -
(Owner/Operator)
Alison Barr is the founder and chief operator of Barr Yacht Services Ltd. Prior to the development of the Company in 2008, Alison was Harbour Master at April Point Marina for 15 years. She has also crewed on several private yachts which is where she honed her boating and detailing skills. With thirty years of practical experience in the industry, Alison has maintained a high level of skill and proficiency as demonstrated in her position as a leader and in the quality of services provided.
Kieran Gibb
- first Mate -

Kieran Gibb is the Detailing Manager at Barr Yacht Services. He is also the IT Specialist for the company. Kieran's background as a painter and shipping/receiving manager contribute to his attention to detail and ability to lead the team. His diverse skill set and composed demeanor make Kieran a very important asset to the company. His passions include travelling, exploring the great outdoors and animals.
Kaitlin Warren
- Quarter Master -

Kaitlin Warren is the interior detailing specialist at Barr Yacht Services. She also does exterior detailing.
She has been working with BYS for 4 years. Kaitlin is a recent UVic graduate with a degree in social science. Previously, Kaitlin was employed cleaning high end homes and private businesses.
Kaitlin has developed a reputation as a hard working and efficient force of nature in the Yacht Detailing business!
Evelyna Trottier
- Boatswain -
Evey is an exterior detailer at Barr Yacht Services. She is an avid rock climber and has competed on the Canadian National team. This makes her especially valuable when it comes to polishing and waxing some of our larger yachts. Evey is a very self motivated and athletic individual with a positive attitude. She really enjoys working on yachts and has developed the skills to make her a great addition to our team.
Isaac Harris
- Second Mate -
Isaac is an exterior detailer with Barr Yacht Services. Isaac was born and raised in Sidney. He developed a strong work ethic at an early age.
His love for the outdoors and his ability to make people smile, make for a good fit with BYS. Isaac also loves to cook and bake and has supplied the crew with a welcomed cookie fix on occasion.
We may have to expand the business.
